Chapter Tasting Notes, October, 2006 “Value Reds”
 
BUSINESS:
The nominating committee presented the following nominations for the November elections:
               President:  Mimi and John Bacilek
               Secretary:  Barbara-Ann Mattle and Ed Maier
               Treasurer:  Rich Hemmenway
 
We also need to formalize the nomination of a candidate for our new Regional VP of AWS. This new region will cover chapters within NY from Rochester through the western part of the state. Our nominee (to be voted formally in November) is Tone Kelly. As with any election, nominations can be made at the meeting.
  
The topic of the tasting was Value Reds. Value reds were defined as red wines that are available in the Rochester area at a single bottle price of $15.00 or less. From a suggested list of 27 wines, the following were selected for a chapter tasting.

Following the tasting, the chapter voted on favorites. The price of the wines was not disclosed prior to the vote. Results of the vote were:
